Following its World Premiere at the Opening Night of the Doha Tribeca Film Festival on October 25, Black Gold will release in cinemas worldwide, starting in the home country of its director, Jean-Jacques Annaud followed by a wide release throughout the Middle East. Warner Bros and Universal Pictures International are distributing the film worldwide on a multi-territory basis, an unprecedented feat for a film about the Arab world.
In an historic moment for the creative talents of the Middle East, one of the biggest cinematic projects ever undertaken in the Arab region will screen in cinemas throughout November and December and into early 2012.
Black Gold opens November 23 in France, Benelux and select Middle East territories, December 1 in the rest of the Middle East and throughout Europe in December and into early 2012. More territories are yet to be confirmed.
The star-studded cast attended the world premiere at the Opening Night of the Doha Tribeca Film Festival on October 25, the annual festival presented by the film’s co-producer Doha Film Institute.
